I had cats that just loved to lay in their cat hammock for window seal and sleep or nap there. That was the reason to have a look at a cat hammock for the window.
The reason is of course that it is nice and warm there and that is what cats like as we all know.
There is an almost unlimited amount of cat hammocks and I searched a lot of them to find the ones I think are the best.
Angela & Alex cat window perch
This one comes with suction cups as most of them do. This makes it easy to attach and take down for cleaning your windows.
This nice cat hammock can handle a weight of 50 Lb and it is made of oxford material that will keep the cats’ temperature not overheating in the summer. The dimensions are:
- 21.5 inches long
- 12.8 inches wide
- 1.5 inches thick.
That is large enough to hold a pretty size cat.
Cat hammock for window – for large cats
Although this hammock is larger than the one I did look at above it is not that much larger than the one I specified as specially made for large cats.
The weight this one can carry is up to 33 lbs and that is in my opinion more than enough for most cats.
The material is a breathable black PVC mat and the wires are made of stainless steel.
The measurements are:
- 21.7 inches long
- 13.8 inches wide.
Since it is made of a mesh material the thickness is very thin.
Window Hammock + scratcher
This one is a little different and is a combination of a hammock and a sisal scratcher.
The curbed size is wrapped with sisal to make it able for your cat to scratch after or before taking a sun bat in this window hammock.
The 4 suction cups make it able to carry cats up to 30 lbs.
The size I found was in Centimeters and it was 42 x 30 x 6.5. In inches, this would be around 16.5 x 11.8 x 2.5 inches.

As you can understand there are literally hundreds of hammocks for cats I could find. I found that some cats do not like to sleep in a window hammock and prefer to use a wall-mounted cat hammock as I wrote about.
